Now as i am thinking of regular pinning down my thoughts,
and be in touch with fast progressing world in another way.
Hope to put some nice posts here. Do keep bugging me to resurrect it :P

When I made this blog I thought of starting with a good post. But the things turned out for the worse. My city Surat suffered the worst ever floods in 100 years.
Almost whole city was under blanket of water ranging from 1 foot to 25 feet. The situation is not discribable in words. My heart cries after seeing the damage, position of people and helpless of administration.
the city is established on the banks of river Tapi.
The river originates in Madhya Pradesh and travels through Maharashtra
and the Gujarat before meeting Arabian sea.
The catchment area of tapi received unprecendented rainfall during last week
all that water came to Ukai Dam.
Ukai Dam is the reservoir cum power plant which releases water in tapi when overflown.
The discharge was so huge.
Tapi river was over flowing from all the points, the water came so fast and furious people could not move their belonging.
though the life damage may be less looking in to the situation.
economic damage is humongous. the people have starved for a drop of water for three days over their house.
the situation was like this
warning –>
fear –>
water levels rise –>
sudden large flow of water–>
the damage –>
trouble (for the submerged) and anxiety (for who were lucky not to be submerged)
hunger and thirst for the submerged –>
disturbed psychological status of the submerged —>
first futile attempts at rescue and help –>
the administration tries valliantly but can not cope with the situation –>
water levels stop to rise —>
hope in the eyes of people who were eager to help others –>
the waters give way —>
help arrives–>
people make their own channel of help –>
today morning it is like war against odds the army, the administration, the ngos, the people and the victims are fighting a big war.
the situation now is waters are fast receding and the situation is better and help is reaching every where.
Now the challenges are hygiene, cleanliness, public psyche, proper distribution of help, reallocation of manpower and administrative force.
On a personal note:
I and my family were the one of the few lucky citizens of surat who were not affected by the floods. Our house turned out one of the highest area of surat. So floods did not affect us, electricity was always present, we have common borewell in society so water was available, the SUMUL dairy is right next to my society so milk was available. I have made contact with many of my relatives and friends provided them essentials after i was able to reach there by swimming. Only problem we encountered was that my father who is a doctor was trapped in the hospital where he is employed. though the contact is possible he told me today morning he may be able to come back home today evening after six days.
i have got more to tell but i do not have words now and also i need to go for relief operations.
will update here with more stories and photos
keep visiting.

Hello world,
I had been exposed to blogging sometimes back. But due to my apathy and professional circumstances i was not able to regularly update. In recent past following sad events happening in mumbai and the ban on blogs afterwards realigned my thoughts about blogging.
I expect to update this blog regularly and post something which is refreshing and note worthy.
I also expect my friends to provide me with some nice, productive critique here.
hope to have nice interaction with the online community.
take care
